How to sell on Vinted, step by step

1. Create your account

Sign up with an email address, then add a profile photo and a short bio. Buyers trust profiles that look like a real person.

2. Choose what to sell

Start with things that are clean, in good condition and from brands people recognise. Check for marks, missing buttons and bobbling, and be honest about any flaws.

3. Take good photos

• Use daylight, near a window, against a plain background.
• Show the front, back, label and any flaws.
• Hang it up or lay it flat and smooth out creases.

4. Write the listing

Put the brand, item type, colour and size in the title, for example “Zara black wool coat size M”. In the description add measurements, fabric and condition. Fill in every field: buyers filter by brand, size and condition.

5. Set a price

Search for the same item and see what others are asking. Expect offers, so leave a little room to negotiate. Remember the buyer pays a protection fee and postage on top, so a slightly lower price can sell much faster. Try the calculator to see what the buyer will pay in total.

6. Post it

When an item sells, Vinted sends you a prepaid label or a code for the delivery option the buyer chose. Pack the item securely, attach the label and drop it off within the deadline.

7. Get paid

Once the buyer confirms the item is OK, the full sale price goes to your Vinted balance. Withdraw it to your bank whenever you like, or spend it on Vinted.
